Why a 3D GPX viewer
A track is more than its outline
Most GPX viewers show a flat line on a flat map. Your file knows more than that: it carries elevation for every point. The 3D view in the AvoMap editor plays it back over satellite terrain, which is the difference between seeing a squiggle and seeing the climb you actually did. If you like what you see, the same editor turns the GPX into a video.

Is this GPX viewer free?
Yes. Viewing the file, the stats, and the 3D preview are all free. Only exporting a rendered video costs anything.
Does my GPX file get uploaded anywhere?
The file is parsed locally in your browser. If you open the 3D view, the extracted route is sent to build that preview — the original file stays on your machine.
Which apps' GPX files work?
Any standards-compliant GPX: Strava, Garmin Connect, Komoot, AllTrails, Wahoo, Suunto, Polar, Gaia GPS, and exports from most watches and bike computers.
Can I turn the track into a video?
Yes — that's AvoMap's whole thing. From the 3D view you can style the route, let the camera fly along it, and export an MP4 in up to 4K.
