Is there a free way to turn GPX into a video?
The AvoMap editor is free without limits: upload the GPX, preview the full animation, and adjust styles and camera as long as you like. Exporting the finished MP4 costs one render credit (from $9 for 3 videos). If you need free exports and can live with 2D output and a Java install, the open-source GPX Animator is the alternative.
Does this convert GPX to MP4?
Yes. The export is a standard MP4 video file at 1080p or 4K, 60 frames per second, in aspect ratios for YouTube, Reels, Stories, or TikTok.
What GPX data does the video use?
The track coordinates, waypoints, and elevation. Playback speed is yours to set per segment, so a 6-hour ride can be a 30-second clip.
Can I combine several GPX files in one video?
Yes — each file becomes a segment, and you can mix them with drawn routes and flights. A multi-day trip fits in a single animation.
Do KML and KMZ files work too?
